How to permanently delete your SmartShopr account

⚠️

Warning: Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone. All your data will be irretrievably deleted, including shopping lists, supermarkets, expenses, and budgets.

📱 Method 1: In the App (Recommended)

The fastest way to delete your account:

  1. Open the SmartShopr app
  2. Go to Settings (gear icon at bottom right)
  3. Scroll down to "Danger Zone"
  4. Tap "Delete Account"
  5. Confirm by typing "DELETE"
  6. Tap "Delete Account Permanently"

Your account and all data will be deleted immediately.

📧 Method 2: Via Email

If you can no longer access the app, you can request account deletion by email:

  1. Send an email to smartshopr@ug108.de
  2. Use the subject line: "Delete Account"
  3. Include the email address associated with your SmartShopr account
  4. We will process your request within 72 hours

🗑️ What Data Will Be Deleted?

When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:

  • Your user account and login credentials
  • All shopping lists and items
  • All saved supermarkets and layouts
  • All expense entries
  • All budgets and budget shares
  • All list sharing permissions
  • Your category customizations

Note: Lists that were shared with you by others will remain accessible to the original owners.
